Country Cottage Plus

Your cottage is available from 2pm on the day of arrival, and vacation is 10am on the day of departure to allow for cleaning.Each cottage has enclosed parking areas (courtyard or driveway).Cobblestone has a private, enclosed garden. The other two cottages have gardens accessible via the courtyard.Bedding and towels are provided. Please bring swimming/beach towels.Electricity and heating oil are included within the cost, including the heating of the swimming pools. Please note there is no gas here.We are happy to take in grocery deliveries for you pre-arrival: Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda all offer this service.The owners live at the farmhouse on site and are usually around to welcome you to your cottage. If not, arrangements will be made to leave keys for you. We try to be available but not intrusive. The countryside is wonderful but please be aware that this is a farming community; it is rich in animal life, insect life, country smells and tractors - and everything happens more slowly here......relax into it!*Finally, please note that our spring water is rich in minerals. The downside of this is that water can stain reddish-brown due to iron in the water. (It is tested by the local authority and is perfectly safe but it can lead to staining in showers, etc.)We provide bedding, towels (not beach towels), tea-towels, washing up liquid, etc.

Directions: West Tosberry is about 1.25 miles across the moor from the West Country Inn on the A39. Postcode for satnav is EX39 6EHFrom Barnstaple direction, after Clovelly Cross ignore the first turn to Hartland and take the second sign to Hartland and Fosfelle (this avoids the village centre). After about 0.7 miles at a sharp right hand bend signposted to Hartland, turn left (can be muddy) and follow the road (1+mile)to the T-junction. West Tosberry will be just in front of you.From the south: turn left across Bursdon Moor, just before the sharp bend after the West Country Inn. West Tosberry Farm is on your left at the bottom of the moor.
