Children love the sandy beaches of the North Devon and Cornwall coasts. Rock pools are revealed at low tide and many happy hours can be spent observing crabs and little fish in their natural habitat.
Families can enjoy a beach holiday at all times of the year by staying in our Luxury Cottages at Hartland, including exclusive use of heated swimming pools.
The wide sandy beaches at Widemouth and Bude are ideal for sandcastles and picnics. The smaller rugged coves like our local Spekes Mill (2 miles) can only be reached by footpath; making going to the beach an adventure.
As well as an abundance of local beaches there is a very good selection of theme parks. In the near by village of Kilkhampton there exists Brooklands, which provides a good day out for all. It has a steam train and all manner of delights to amuse young children.
There is easy access to the beach resorts at Exmouth and Dawlish from Hatswell Meadows. Indeed Hatswell Meadows is ideally located to sample the delights of the North and South Devon Coasts
