for a delightful cottage with private pool - especially for you
For an overview of the Peninsula, pictures speak louder than words, so check out some Hartland Peninsula Association videos such as this one which offers an introduction to Hartland.
The Hartland Peninsula is great walking country with the south west coastal path and other enjoyable walks such as this one at Brownsham
or this one at Elmscott.
The coast around here is truly spectacular so you may enjoy a visit to the nearby Hartland Quay or even a boat trip to swim with seals off Lundy Island.
Each cottage has a basket of local information but if you have children you may wish to consider local attractions like The Milky Way and The Big Sheep. Teenagers may well prefer to hit the surf, with a variety of watersports on offer in Bude which has great surfing beaches.
For shoppers, we have the Atlantic Village outlet centre near Bideford.
For those wishing to see some lovely villages then the normal 'must see' places for visitors are Clovelly, Bude, and further afield Boscastle and Tintagel. There are wonderful beaches along The Wreckers Coast, including a dog friendly National Trust beach at Sandymouth. You may also wish to visit places like Appledore, Instow, the N Devon coastal resorts and even Padstow/Newquay which are not a huge distance along the A39. But we hope you will also take time to visit the Peninsula itself and try out the eateries around Hartland and Welcombe......
